MY FIRST TIME—but it is NOT what you think.
My first? First what? I do NOT know what you are thinking.
Well, you got me. I was trying to
play up a joke there, but I guess the spectrum of “firsts” are wider than I
thought, and does not leave much room for joking around. Maybe next time.
So for my first formal, for-class
post, I will share my first experience with a computer. I would say that it is
easy, but you know...
It is not so easy when you realize you have been using computers your whole life.
And I mean, my WHOLE life.
I would not say I am clueless of
my first experience with a computer, because I do remember hours of playing
retro PC games on my uncle’s Windows 97, with that big fat monitor we all used
to have back in the day. Perhaps even my first foray with digital art, creating
lord knows what sorts of shapes on MS Paint, and telling my mum they were “baby
rabbits” when they looked like clouds.
Ah, those were the good old days.
If we are talking about computers
on a, well, “a computer can be held right at the palm of your hand”
perspective, my very first experience with a computer would be playing with my dad’s Palm Pilot. I remember
playing all sorts of games on it, like very retro versions of Insaniquarium and
Text Twist. As it was a very old device, the graphics were not the best, but at
the time, were spectacular to my 4-year-old eyes.
Well, that is all for today. Leave a comment below! And yes, I guess I have totally been staring at a monitor since time
immemorial.
Maybe that is why I need glasses!
